Dyeing to Knit for CIC

I learned about CIC through the Six Sock KAL I participate in and was so touched by the needs of these children and caregivers. Since my stash contains a fair amount of just the right yarn (100% wool) I knew right away what I was going to do with a lot of the yarn I purchased with "no plan" in mind at the time. These little blue socks are the first item I've finished and will definitely keep two little feet warmer in the COLD Russian winter since they are knit with worsted weight 100% wool. The balls of yarn were originally white Lion's Brand Fisherman's Wool and Bernat Lana in a cream color. A little Saturday morning dye job and they are ready to be knit into garments. The blue yarn and the blue/green/yellow variegated will be combined and will be knit double stranded into a todler size vest. The raspberry yarn is waiting for a companion ball in some variegated colors that will compliment it for another vest.

I'm so excited about this opportunity to knit for this special need instead of always knitting just for me.
